Since prehistoric times, stone totems have been used as tools for various purposes. They were used to demarcate trails and roads, had ceremonial functions (as at Stonehenge, in England) or as a hunting and defense tool. The process of building these “sculptures” is also known as rock-balancing and is used as a meditation tool.
An exercise on the impermanence of the whole and linked to choices that lead to balance.
The Seixo line proposes a connection between outdoor and indoor, through shapes that refer to stones worn down by the action of water in rivers, and through ceramic bases that bring rusticity without giving up elegance.
The tables in the line work like pebbles that, when combined, create different shapes and acquire new meanings.
